Why Hire a Bookkeeper?


Why not just rely on my office personnel and software for input and reporting?
Traditional office personnel can be excellent for paying bills and recording basic data. However, the basic office person typically does not understand the rules of double entry accounting and the critical nature of keeping and recording accurate data. Consequently, we see many clients who are already in trouble when they seek our services and many are referred to us by their CPA or tax attorney.

Why not use a CPA for this service?
A CPA is a vital part of any business.  They are able to keep up with literally thousands of new and existing tax laws. However, many CPA firms either don't have time to perform bookkeeping, or must charge a higher rate for basic bookkeeping. Many of our clients are referred to us by quality CPA firms.

What are the fees for this service?
No business is run exactly the same. Therefore, Efficient Systems Plus Inc.fees are based on the exact amount of bookkeeping our clients require. We will gladly provide a free price quote after understanding your exact needs. We are confident that we can provide you with a reasonable rate for this invaluable service.

What reports do I have to file and why to I have to file them on time?
With state and federal reports (quarterly and annually) required to be filed on time in order to keep your business in good standing.Efficient Systems Plus Inc.understands these requirements and key dates and can assist you with this mandate.
Do I need a bookkeeper on-site? How do I get my data to/from esp?
ESP is a "virtual bookkeeping service".  With the use of email, remote desktop connections, the internet, fax and postal delivery services, we are able to fully maintain and perform all bookkeeping functions from our location.  For accounts payable and receivables, we have pick-up and drop-off available.  And, like many of our clients you can have your bills and bank statements mailed from vendors and banks directly to our office for prompt and proper handling.

Will you work with my current CPA?  Or, what if I do not have a CPA or wish to switch?
We work with several CPAs in the the DFW and across the country.  My services are mostly work of mouth, and often are directly from CPA's that are familiar with my work.  I will provide you a complete set of books that you can hand directly to your CPA, or I can do that for you, once you approve.  If you do not have CPA that you like, I can refer one to you that I think will fit your business needs.

ESP supports all small and medium business types.   For over 30 years, I have provided professional and complete bookkeeping services to the medical, legal, construction, oil and gas, commercial real estate investors, owners and managers, finanicial planners, home owner's associations, you name it.  I even do the books for wedding chapels in Las Vegas!
